This is a unique hand-made gel plate monoprint, made by me in my home studio.
 
These gel prints are all experimental - I think this one is maybe the 7th gel print I made, and I was trying, for the first time, to mix the background colour on the plate itself, which is whys it looks the way it does, and is not intentional.
 
I really went to town making the video for this one, using the sounds of it's creation to make the music to accompany the video. The sticky sound of pulling the plate, the cutting sound of the scalpel blade, and the sound of a toothbrush flicking spots of paint appear alongside my voice, an egg shaker, a synthesizer and a kalimba.
